University (SGRRU) on 19 August 2026 on the college premises. The activity was conducted to raise awareness among newly admitted students about ragging, its harmful consequences, and the strict measures adopted by the University against any form of ragging.

Objectives: The major objectives of the activity were:

To sensitize freshers about the meaning and forms of ragging.
To make students aware of the physical, psychological, social, and academic consequences of ragging.
To inform students that ragging in any form is strictly prohibited on the college/university premises.
To educate students about their rights and responsibilities in maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment.
To encourage students to report any incident or attempt of ragging without fear.
To promote friendship, mutual respect, discipline, and a positive interaction between senior and junior students.

Activities conducted during the awareness programme: NSS volunteers interacted with the freshers and explained the negative impact of ragging on students and the overall academic environment. Students were sensitized about different forms of ragging, including verbal harassment, bullying, intimidation, physical or mental harassment, and any activity that may cause humiliation or discomfort to another student.
