Rishikesh, April 24, 2026 : Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU), Dehradun, through its School of Allied & Health Care (SAHC), in collaboration with Samvedna Trust, organized an awareness program on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) along with a free checkup camp at its branch office IDPL, Rishikesh.
The camp was conducted under the guidance of Dean, SAHC, Dr. Keerti Singh, along with other faculty members aimed to spread awareness about lifestyle diseases such as hypertension and diabetes and focused on prevention and early detection. Free services including blood group testing, hemoglobin testing, blood sugar screening, BMI assessment, blood pressure checks, eye examinations, and physiotherapy consultations were provided. Students of SAHC, SGRRU highlighted the importance of regular checkups, balanced diet, and physical activity to the participants.
The President of Samvedna Trust, Mrs. Arti Saxena and Co-founder Mr. Deepak Barthwal appreciated the initiative and said such programs are highly beneficial for villagers to promote preventive healthcare and public well-being.
