A Climate Fresk Workshop was successfully conducted on 17th & 18th January 2026 at SGRR College of Nursing with the objective of enhancing awareness and understanding of climate change, its causes, consequences, and possible solutions. The Climate Fresk is an internationally recognized, science-based, interactive workshop that uses collective intelligence to educate participants about the complexity of climate systems based on IPCC reports.
The workshop was facilitated by Monica ma’am and Dimple ma’am, a certified Climate Fresk facilitator, who guided the participants through the interactive learning process with clarity and enthusiasm.
The workshop followed an interactive, participatory approach. Participants were divided into small groups and provided with Climate Fresk cards representing causes, mechanisms, impacts, and solutions related to climate change. Under the guidance of the facilitator, participants collaboratively arranged the cards to build a logical cause-and-effect relationship of climate change. This was followed by a creative phase where groups illustrated their Fresk and a reflective discussion session.

The workshop significantly enhanced participants’ understanding of climate change and its multidimensional impacts on health, environment, economy, and society. Participants developed a deeper sense of responsibility toward climate action and expressed motivation to adopt sustainable practices in daily life and professional roles.
The overall feedback from participants was highly positive. They appreciated the interactive and engaging format of the workshop, which made complex climate concepts easy to understand and memorable.
The Climate Fresk Workshop proved to be an effective educational initiative in promoting climate literacy and environmental consciousness among participants. Such workshops are highly recommended to be conducted regularly to empower individuals with knowledge and encourage proactive climate action.
The organizers sincerely acknowledge the support and encouragement of the Prof. Dr. G Ramalakshmi, Principal, SGRR College of Nursing, for making this workshop possible. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to the Climate Fresk facilitators and dignitaries for their expertise and guidance. Special thanks are also due to all the participants for their active involvement, enthusiasm, and commitment to climate action.
