International Microorganism Day was celebrated on 17th September 2025 by the Department of Medical Lab Technology & Medical Microbiology, to emphasize the importance of microorganisms in human welfare, environment, and industry. The program aimed to spread awareness about the beneficial as well as harmful aspects of microbes and to encourage students to explore the world of micro-organisms. 

The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) G. Ramalakshmi and the celebration began with a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Keerti Singh, who highlighted the significance of microorganisms and their indispensable role in biotechnology, health care, and ecological balance.

Students of BMLT, BMM & BMRIT prepared informative posters on themes such as micro-organisms and their role. Participants showcased their creativity and made Rangoli design on this event. The students focused on the contributions of microbes in food production, pharmaceuticals and environmental sustainability in their oral presentation. The celebration came to a close with the distribution of prizes to the winners across all categories, followed by a formal vote of thanks.
