SGRRU School of Education – Skill Development Program

Naandi Foundation’s Mahindra Pride Classroom – Employability Enhancement Program is a flagship CSR initiative of the Mahindra Group, designed to equip young students across the country with essential employability skills at no cost.

The primary objective of this program is to enhance students’ livelihood prospects by providing structured skill-based training, thereby enabling them to secure meaningful employment aligned with their competencies.

This training program has several modules that help in enhancing the students’ personality, general awareness, grooming and communication skills in English, Life skills and knowledge of computer applications. The life skills component of the training module completely transforms the students into confident, determined, goal-oriented youth; a personality shift essential for them to pursue successful careers in the sectors of their choice.

School of Education, SGRR University in collaboration with NAANDI Foundation and Mahindra Pride Classroom successfully organized four days training program for the PreService Pupil- Teachers. This training is based on Employability Skill development and Soft skill development which is an integral part of personality development as well as Professional development. This program imparted 20 hours of extensive training to girl students only as a part of women empowerment program as promoted by the government of India. The training program started on 25/11/2025,(Tuesday), at 10 am sharp. At the commencement of the program Dean, School of Education, Prof. Malvika Sati Kandpal, Prof. Anand Kumar, Dr. Balbir Kaur (program Coordinator), Dr. Rekha Dhyani, Dr. Priyanka Upadhyay, Dr. Ritu Sinha, and Mrs. Rakhi Chauhan were present.

Prof. Malvika Sati Kandpal in her welcome speech, addressed the students and emphasized on the importance of Employability skill development for professional enhancement. She extended her warm welcome to the Faculty/Trainer from NAANDI Foundation, Ms. Sumati Virmani in her welcome address. She also expressed her gratitude to NAANDI Foundaton and Mahindra Pride Classroom for collaborating with School of Education.

Ms. Sumati Virmani narrated the activities briefly and emphasized on the importance of language skills and soft skills and assured the success of the program for alround personality development.

The program successfully continued for four days (20 hours). All the students were extremely satisfied to learn new skills. They participated in all activities with full enthusiasm and spirit. The sessions were full of activities, presentations, video clippings and lectures. The four day training program included various activities based on how to become unique, pair activities, group activities, individual presentations, emotional intelligence, child behavior psychology etc.

The program ended on 01/12/2025 (Monday) at 3 pm. In the end of four day program Dr. Balbir Kaur Program Coordinator from School of Education, SGRR University, extended gratitude to thank the Faculty from NAANDI Foundation Ms. Sumati Virmani, all the faculty members from School of Education SGRR University, other staff members and all the students present there to make this program worthwhile.
