The School of Education proudly inaugurated its new Student Council for the academic session on 10-09-2025 for the academic year 2025-26. This newly elected council is poised to represent the student body and foster an inclusive, collaborative and academically enriching environment. The formation of the student council is an integral step toward promoting leadership, student participation and bridging communication between students and faculty members.
The purpose of establishing the Student Council is to ensure an effective communication bridge between the administration and the student body. It also serves as a voice for students and address their concerns. Additionally, the Student Council plays a pivotal role to promote student engagement in academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. It also provides students with an opportunity to develop leadership skills and provide a platform for students to contribute to the growth of institution.
The primary role of the Student Council is to facilitate information exchange between administration and the students. The Council aims to:
EDUKRITI is the official student council body of the School of Education. It continues to serve as a vibrant platform for students, fostering leadership, collaboration and academic excellence within the School of Education. Its objectives are- To develop leadership and integrity, enhance academic, cultural and social engagement and Promote innovation, creativity and service
The election process for the Student Council was democratic, with students from each course nominating and voting for their preferred candidates. The entire election was supervised by faculty members to ensure fairness and transparency. The campaigning period allowed candidates to present their manifestos, focusing on improving academic resources, organizing cultural and sports activities and addressing student concerns.
The inaugural Ceremony was held in the School of Education Lecture Hall, graced by the presence of the Dean School of Education Prof. Malvika Sati Kandpal, faculty members and students. The Dean, in her address, highlighted the importance of student leadership in shaping the educational experiences and encouraged the newly elected council to be proactive and responsible. The elected President of the Council delivered a speech, outlining their vision for the term and emphasizing collaboration between students and the administration.
The formation of the new Student Council marks a significant step towards enhancing student involvement and leadership in the School of Education. With a clear vision and strategic planning, the council is expected to bring about positive changes in the academic and social life of tnhe institution, ensuring that student voices are heard and valued.
