On the occasion of International Microorganism Day, a Poster and Rangoli competition theme: “MICROBES: FRIENDS OR FOES?” was organized by the Microbiology Department School of Basic & Applied Sciences, SGRRU. In this event, Mathematics department students also participated and made a poster under the motivation of Dr. Rashi Bhargava, Head of Mathematics Department, School of Basic & Applied Sciences, SGRRU. The event provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their creativity and scientific understanding of the fascinating world of microorganisms. Participants illustrated the vital roles microbes play in health, environment, industry and research, while also addressing their challenges and impacts. With visually engaging and scientifically accurate posters, students reflected both artistic expression and academic insight. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation, fostering awareness about the significance of microorganisms in everyday life and inspiring young minds to appreciate their importance in advancing science and society.
