The STEM Club of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, organized a one-day activity, “IDEA SPARK 2025 – Mini Innovation Showcase in Science & Technology” on 19th November 2025 at the SBAS Auditorium. The program began with lamp lighting and sapling presentation, symbolizing knowledge and growth.
Dr. Pankaj Chamoli, Dean of SBAS (Invited Guest), delivered the inaugural talk, underscoring the vital role of STEM in shaping innovation. Dr. Meetesh Singh, STEM Coordinator, inspired participants by highlighting STEM’s transformative potential in advancing clean energy, sustainability, and national progress. He urged students to embrace interdisciplinary collaboration, structured mentorship, and ethical responsibility, reminding them that innovation thrives not only in laboratories but also in classrooms, clubs, and collaborative spaces. His address aligned the vision of IDEA SPARK 2025 with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7) and Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9), encouraging young innovators to channel their creativity toward impactful, sustainable solutions.
The event was graced by eminent academicians and judged by Prof. Rajesh Rayal, Prof. Manish Dev, Prof. Naveen Gaurav, Prof. Maneesha Singh, and Dr. Rashi Bhargva, who reinforced STEM’s importance for sustainable development. A large number of participants shared a new innovative idea with the entire school community at SGRRU, demonstrating great enthusiasm and inspiring the audience.
Coordinated by Dr. Meetesh Singh, Assistant Professor (Physics), and Ms. Nidhi Semwal, Assistant Professor (Pharmacy), the showcase successfully fostered creativity, collaboration, and impactful engagement.
