Training Highlights
Day 1: Introduction to Cybersecurity
Topics Covered:
Day Summary
The first day focused on building a strong foundation of cybersecurity concepts. Students were introduced to the cyber domain, types of organizational data, threat actors, and the evolving landscape of cyber warfare. The session helped learners understand why cybersecurity is critical in today’s digital world.
Day 2: Endpoint Security
Day Summary:
This day emphasized endpoint and system-level security. Students learned about common cyber threats and vulnerabilities, followed by hands-on practice using Wireshark. Practical demonstrations on firewall configuration and endpoint protection enhanced their understanding of real-world security controls.
Day 3: Network Défense
The third day focused on Network Défense Mechanisms and security architectures. Students explored defensive strategies, firewall technologies, and hands-on network scanning using Nmap. The session strengthened their skills in Detecting and Securing Network Vulnerabilities.
Day 4: Cyber Threat Management
This session covered advanced cyber threat management techniques. Learners gained insights into cryptography, secure protocols, and threat intelligence. Practical exposure to Burp Suite and Nikto helped students understand web application security testing and vulnerability assessment.
Outcome of Training
Upon successful completion of the ICT Academy Cyber Security Training Program conducted at Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU) from 22 December 2025 to 26 December 2025, Participants demonstrated a strong understanding of core cybersecurity concepts and practical security implementations.
Students acquired foundational knowledge of cyber threats, attackers, organizational data protection, and cyber warfare, along with hands-on skills in endpoint security, firewall configuration, and network traffic analysis using Wireshark. The training enhanced participants’ capabilities in network Défense, including the application of security principles, firewall technologies, and vulnerability scanning using Nmap.
Participants also developed proficiency in cyber threat management, gaining practical exposure to cryptography, security protocols, threat intelligence, and security testing tools such as Burp Suite and Nikto. Additionally, learners demonstrated an understanding of risk management, security controls, digital forensics, and incident response procedures.
Overall, the training program significantly improved participants’ technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and industry readiness, enabling them to pursue entry-level cybersecurity roles, professional certifications, and advanced learning opportunities in information security.
