The NSS Unit of Shri Guru Ram Rai University successfully organized a Debate Competition on the theme “Vigilance – Our Shared Responsibility” at the SBAS Auditorium, Patel Nagar Campus, in collaboration with the Vigilance Establishment Headquarter, Dehradun on the occasion of Rajat Jayanti Samaroh, Uttarakhand. The event was organized on 8/11/2025 in SGRRU, Patel Nagar Campus. The event aimed to promote awareness about integrity, transparency, and the role of citizens in maintaining a corruption-free society. The program commenced with the presence of NSS Officers of SGRRU along with Mr. Manoj Nainwal, Vigilance Officer, Uttarakhand, accompanied by his team of officials. They addressed the participants and highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring vigilance at personal, institutional, and administrative levels. A large number of students took part in the debate and presented their arguments with great enthusiasm and clarity. The competition was evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges comprising Prof. (Dr.) Manisha Singh, Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Tyagi, and Dr. Rashi Bhargava, who appreciated the analytical skills and confidence of the participants. At the conclusion of the event, the winners were announced. Anushka Sharma (B.Sc. Biotechnology) secured the First Prize, Kanishk Rawat (B.Sc. Agriculture) won the Second Prize, and Ananya Agarwal (B.Sc. Agriculture) earned the Third Prize for their exemplary presentations. The program successfully conveyed the message that vigilance is not only a governmental duty but a shared responsibility of every citizen.
