Celebration of Hindi Diwas at SGRRU - 2025

The Department of Hindi under the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU) organized various literary and cultural programs on the eve of Hindi Diwas. The students participated enthusiastically in all the events.

The President of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Shri Mahant Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj, extended his best wishes to the organizers of the program.

The event began with an essay competition, where students expressed their views on topics such as “The Young Generation and the Future of Hindi,” “The Rich Tradition of Hindi Literature,” and “Challenges Before the Hindi Language.”

In this competition, Poornima Bansal secured the first position, Sidra Fatima the second, and Sakshi Thapa the third.

Following this, a story-writing competition was organized, in which participants presented glimpses of Indian culture and Pahadi traditions through their stories. In this event, Sidra Fatima won the first prize, Lakshmi the second, and Muskan the third.

Students also actively participated in the poetry recitation competition, where they captivated the audience with their creativity and expressive performances.

In this competition, Pallavi Rastogi secured the first place, Khushi Singhal the second, and Poonam the third.

In the speech competition, participants spoke on topics such as “Hindi – The Language of National Unity,” “Pride of the Mother Tongue,” and “Indian Culture and the Hindi Language.”

In this event, Sitara Fatima won the first position, Shweta the second, and Poornima Bansal the third.

On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Kulshreshtha stated that such events help in enhancing students’ linguistic knowledge and creative abilities. Prof. (Dr.) Geeta Rawat appreciated the talent and creativity of the students.
