School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, SGRR University, proudly inaugurated the 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week with a series of engaging and educational events aimed at promoting drug safety awareness. This year’s theme, *"Your Safety just a click away: Report to PvPI"*, highlighted the significance of Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reporting and encouraged active participation from pharmacy students and professionals.

On Day 1: Guest Lectures on ADR Reporting

The inaugural session commenced on *17th September 2025, featuring insightful guest lectures by Dr. Bhawna Saini and Dr. Kavita, who emphasized the importance of pharmacovigilance and ADR reporting in clinical practice. Their sessions provided students with practical insights and stressed the responsibility of healthcare professionals in ensuring patient safety.

On Day 2: Intercollege Quiz Competition

On 18th September, a fun yet intellectually stimulating **Intercollege Quiz Competition* was organized. The quiz drew enthusiastic participation from various pharmacy colleges across the Dehradun region. After several competitive rounds, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, SGRR University clinched the 1st position, while GRD PG IMT Dehradun secured the 2nd position. Participants received certificates, trophies, and mementos in recognition of their efforts and knowledge.

Poster Competition on ADR Awareness

Continuing the celebration, an informative Poster Competition was held to spread awareness about ADRs. Students prepared creative and educational posters, which they presented with detailed explanations. The posters were evaluated by a panel comprising Dr. Divya Juyal, Dean , SPS, Dr. Yogesh Joshi (HOD, Pharmacy practics), Dr. Dwarka Prasad Naithani  Director, IIC . The activity served as a platform for students to express their understanding of drug safety in a visually impactful way. First position was secured by Mr. Shubham Chamoli and 2nd position was secured by Mr. Bhuwan .

The successful coordination of the event was led by Dr. Manish Misra, Mrs. Shaffi Khurana, Dr. Jyoti, Dr. Assem Babbar, Dr. Anand Pimoli, Ms. Sushmita Uniyal, and Dr. Anuj Nautiyal. Additionally, members of the Sanjeevani Council and Pharm.D 5th-year students played a crucial role in organizing and managing the events seamlessly.

Glimpses of Debate competition and Nukkad Natak: On the third day , 19 september 2025, of the 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences successfully organized a Debate Competition. A large number of students actively participated, showcasing their knowledge, confidence, and communication skills while presenting diverse perspectives on Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs). The event was well coordinated by Dr. Kanishk Kala, Assistant Professor, SPS. On this occasion, Dean Dr. Divya Juyal congratulated the participants and encouraged students to remain vigilant and aware about Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs). The 1st position was secured by Sonali Bisht and 2nd position by Ms. Rosy.

On the fourth day, 20 September 2025, a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak was presented by the students of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences on the theme “Importance of ADR Reporting and Monitoring.” The performance not only spread awareness but also provided an engaging learning experience for the students. The Dean highly appreciated the efforts of the participants and applauded the initiative. The event was well coordinated by Ms. Shipra Omar, Ms. Suneha, and the dedicated members of the Sanjeevani Council. The nukkad natak was performed at two venues , Patel Nagar campus and Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital.

A white coat ceremony for the newly enrolled students of Pharm. D. 1st year and Pharm. D. PB. 1st year was held in Auditorium SPS. Dean, Prof. Divya Juyal stated the purpose and significance of white coat ceremony to students. Mrs. Sushmita Uniyal coordinated this event.

Dr. Divya Juyal (Dean, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences) applauded the efforts of the organizing team and emphasized the importance of ADR reporting in ensuring public health. Dr. Yogesh Joshi also highlighted the role of pharmacovigilance and appreciated the students' enthusiasm in such initiatives.
