The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS) at Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU) successfully concluded a five-day International Faculty Development Program (FDP) focused on "AI-driven teaching, industry insights, student psychology, scientific writing, accreditation practices, and UN-sustainable development goals." The initiative aimed to upskill faculty by integrating modern technological advancements with holistic pedagogical approaches to meet global standards and NAAC benchmarks. The program featured an elite panel of international and national experts, including Prof. Kunal Nepali (Taiwan), Prof. Neeraj Kumar Fuloria (Malaysia), Dr. Vikas Kumar (Uzbekistan), and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Varshney (DST, Govt. of India). Key sessions addressed the ethical use of AI in academics, student psychology, mental well-being, and industry-oriented teaching methodologies. The FDP, which commenced in a virtual format, concluded with a hybrid session graced by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor. In his address, the Vice-Chancellor described AI and research as the "kingpins" of academic excellence. Experts Prof. J.P. Pachauri and Prof. I.P. Pandey further elaborated on quality enhancement through the NAAC framework and the implementation of UN-Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in higher education. Coordinated by Dean SPS, Prof. Divya Juyal, and the organizing team, the event saw enthusiastic participation from faculty and Ph.D. scholars. The program successfully reinforced the University’s commitment to innovation, research, and sustainable global practices.
