The 3rd day of Induction Program started with a series of enriching and engaging activities, fostering creativity, physical fitness, health awareness, and cultural activities. The event started with sports activities such as carrom, chess, table tennis and badminton competition between students to promote teamwork, discipline and physical well-being. After an energetic sports session, students headed to the medical auditorium for a visit.
The afternoon session began with a Lamp Lighting Ceremony at 2:00 P.M, symbolizing the inauguration of the formal proceedings. A health awareness session was conducted by Dr. Anil Verma, Membe ,Managing Committee Indian Red Cross Society. His insightful talk emphasized the importance of health, hygiene, and humanitarian service. Dr. Verma’s session addressing public health concerns such as dengue prevention and the vital role of blood donation in emergency response along with the awareness about Thalassemia with its preventive strategies. Dr. Anil Verma discussed various recent disaster management efforts and proposed preventive measures for different types of disasters, with a particular focus on earthquakes. He also provided students with insights into life-saving techniques to be employed to assist individuals injured due to incidents such as gunfire, fires, and other emergencies.
