School of Agricultural Sciences, keeping in mind the ecological perspective of a green environment, a tree plantation drive had conducted in the campus during December to January 2019. With the sunny day, showering its ‘blessings’, the time was opportune for this activity. The tree plantation drive was conceived and organized by The Vice Chancellor of the SGRR University was enthusiastically supported by all agricultural staff members and students of B. Sc. Ag. and M. Sc. Ag. belonging to different departments. To ensure that each sapling grows to its full potential of a big tree, some staff members adopted a tree, duly putting their names on the branch of their respective tree and thus symbolically taking responsibility of the health of that tree. Remarkable potential was exhibited by all the students so as to ensure healthy growth of each plant into full fledged trees for creating purer environment.
