The university today holds the torch of illumination, giving shape to ideas and fostering innovation. SGRRU envisions itself as an institution of global standing, which fosters development of professionally competent talent and contributes to nation building. SGRRU made a modest beginning in the year 1952 by the parent body of Shri Guru Rai Darbar Sahib. Since its inception, in the last 70 years it has worked tirelessly to bring to life its founder’s core philosophy: ‘to deliver education and health care for the betterment of mankind’. One man’s vision led to the creation of an institution that has today changed thousands of lives, developed countless communication building.

As an educational institution, we not only have a responsibility towards our state, but to the entire country. Most states collapse as a result of low level of education. Our vision is to educate more and more students, so that our country becomes more progressive and technologically developed. We want to tap the potential of this region and help the children realize their strengths and capabilities. Realizing our commitment to the people of this region we have decided to give admission to students at any point in their career to use education to further improve their prospects and brighten their future.

Now when I look back, I still remember all my teachers whom I saw as my role models, my mentors. I attribute all my achievements, accomplishments to the teachers who taught me at different levels.

It is a pleasure to share with you all that being a part of the esteemed Shri Guru Ram Rai University family in the role of the Vice-Chancellor, destiny allowed me to fulfill the commitment to not only keep up the past glories but also to steer the institution on the path of new directions to meet the demands of the changing times. Succeeding in the vision, I feel delighted to welcome all the students belonging to different cultures & communities, coming from various parts of the world, enrolling themselves in multiple courses at the SGRR University Campus to become a part of one big united family that has been making astonishing strides in the field of higher and professional education with unprecedented developments breaking down the boundaries of the subjects into interdisciplinary nature . Following the motto “Work is Worship,” under the outstanding leadership and supervision of our founder Chancellor and Visionary Shri Mahant Devendra Das Maharaj Ji, the University has appointed highly qualified faculty in their respective fields of expertise to provide the best learning environment with quality education to the students to inculcate variety of skills which will pave a strong path for enhancement of their overall development and open doors to vast career opportunities that will be waiting for them in future.

Following these words, our university campus situated in a serene environment is ICT-enabled, providing e-learning and an e-connect climate along with a class coordination system and virtual classrooms with quality programs that are rigorously assured by internal mechanisms and external audits. There is an active interaction between faculty and students, which shape the best mental and intellectual growth stepping up the effort to meet the rampant and hassle-free learning.
The University is enhancing the student’s journey by investing in the development of entrepreneurial skills as the University is equipped with appropriate labs, modern equipment, instruments, computers, teaching aids, multimedia, and other audio-visual facilities. Libraries have online access for effective current teaching. A throbbing center for research and learning, SGRR University is ardent in cultivating a research culture among faculties and students focus on broadening the base of the nature of research, making it interdisciplinary and socially beneficial. A large number of national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops are organized by the University to provide a variety of experiences to the students and inculcate skills such as leadership and team spirit for their career use.
