“The Freshers’ Party was not just an event; it was the beginning of countless memories and friendships. This celebration turned strangers into friends and a hall into a family. The day will remain etched in our hearts as the first step of our beautiful journey at SGRR University.”

A grand Freshers’ Party was organized on 13 September 2025 at School of Education SGRRU, Dehradun to welcome the new students. The event was graced by the presence of senior faculty members and students. The program was filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and interaction, providing a platform for the newcomers to showcase their talents and build confidence. 

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dean Ma’am prof. Malvika Kandpal in front of the statue of Goddess Saraswati, which marked an auspicious beginning.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by the hosts, followed by a ramp walk in which the freshers participated with great energy. The ramp walk served as the first round of selection, where students displayed their style and stage presence. From this round, selected students proceeded to the Talent Hunt segment. Participants came forward to demonstrate their skills in dancing. 

The final segment was a Question - Answer Session, designed to assess the presence of mind, and communication skills of the shortlisted participants. Students answered with confidence and creativity, leaving a lasting impression on the everyone.

The event included a series of cultural performances presented by the senior students, which created an enthusiastic and cheerful atmosphere in the hall. The program concluded with the announcement of titles such as Mr. Fresher, Miss Fresher, Miss Talented, Miss Spark and Mr. Spark. 

So as part of the celebrations, various titles were awarded to the freshers. The results were as follows: 

At last the photo captures a memorable group photograph with our respected teachers, seniors and the freshers together. The programme concluded with photo sessions and interactions between the faculty, seniors and the newcomers, making the day memorable and full of joy. This freshers’ party proved to be a warm and inspiring welcome for the new batch. Overall, the event was a grand success, marked by joy, interaction, and the spirit of togetherness.
