Department of Agronomy of the School of Agricultural Sciences have organized World Pulse Say on 10th Feb 2022 at Laxman Vidhyalaya Pathribagh to make people, students and farmers aware about role of pulses in food security, nutritional security and sustainability. More than 50 students of 11th and 12th standard in agriculture were assembled actively.  

Various aspects were discussed on the theme namely “Pulses to empower youth in achieving sustainable agrifood systems”. Inclusion of pulses in the cropping system so as to improve soil fertility and nitrogen status, inclusion of pulses in daily human diet to avoid problem of malnutrition, various constraints associated with lower pulse productivity, various government schemes to enhance pulse production, utilization and procurement were discussed briefly.
