Shri Guru Ram Rai University successfully organized the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the Student Council for the academic year 2025–26 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event was conducted in the prestigious SHSS Auditorium in the august presence and guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Prathapan K. Pillai.
The program was conducted and supervised by the Dean Student Welfare (DSW), Prof. (Dr.) Malvika Sati Kandpal, whose efficient coordination ensured the smooth execution of the ceremony.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Prathapan K. Pillai, graced the occasion and motivated the students with his insightful and inspiring words. He emphasized the significance of the Student Council in fostering leadership qualities, promoting university culture, and contributing actively to the holistic development of the institution. His address encouraged students to take up their responsibilities with dedication and integrity.
The oath of responsibility and commitment was administered by former President Mr. Vinit Thapa, who set an example for the newly elected council members through his leadership experience and dignified presence.

Supports the General Secretary in administrative work and ensures execution of council decisions.
Responsible for planning, organizing, and promoting cultural events and activities.
Manage sports events, promote athletic activities, and encourage student participation in sports.
Documents major events, maintains records, and prepares official reports of the Student Council.
Ensure discipline during university events, promote orderly conduct, and support discipline-related initiatives.
Responsible for managing financial records, budgeting for council activities, and maintaining transparency.
The ceremony concluded with warm congratulations to all newly elected Student Council members. The university extended heartfelt wishes for their bright future and a productive, responsible tenure, expecting them to uphold the values and dignity of Shri Guru Ram Rai University.
