Objective of the Program:

The primary objective of this Career Guidance and Counseling Program was to create awareness among nursing students regarding international career opportunities and guide them on how to get placed in reputed healthcare institutions in top countries like Dubai (UAE), Germany, and Malaysia. The session aimed to equip students with the knowledge, confidence, and resources to pursue successful nursing careers abroad.

Program Highlights:

  • The program was organized by SGRRIM & HS, College of Nursing in collaboration with Acadfly (powered by Physics Wallah). 
  • The program was commenced with a welcome address by our Respected Dean Prof. Dr. G. Ramalakshmi, followed by an introduction of the resource person. The session was attended by 23 students from MSc Nursing students, 105 students from Basic B.Sc. Nursing 7THsemester, and 62 students from GNM III year. 

Mr. Aashish Chaudhary conducted an informative session focusing on:

  • Various pathways for international nursing placements.
  • Eligibility criteria and licensure requirements for working abroad.
  • Interview preparation and documentation processes.
  • Insights on earning potential up to ₹3 lakh per month in global healthcare sectors.
  • Guidance on language proficiency tests (IELTS, OET) and visa procedures.

He also discussed real-time experiences of nurses working abroad and shared success stories to motivate the students.

Outcomes of the Program:

  • Students gained clarity about career prospects in different countries.
  • Enhanced awareness about required skills, certifications, and documentation for overseas employment.
  • Motivation to pursue higher studies and international nursing examinations.
  • Interactive Q&A session helped clear doubts regarding application procedures and job placement support.

Feedback:

Participants appreciated the session for its practicality and relevance. Many students expressed that the seminar broadened their vision toward global opportunities and gave them confidence to plan their future career abroad.

Conclusion:

The Career Guidance and Counselling Program was highly beneficial in shaping students’ understanding of international nursing careers. It empowered them with valuable information, guidance, and motivation to achieve professional success beyond national boundaries. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Dr. Ponmari. K to the resource person and organizers for their efforts in facilitating such an insightful seminar.
