On April 30, 2025 — The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Shri Guru Ram Rai University organized a series of guest lectures as per the recommendation of UGC for incorporation of “Indian Knowledge System in Higher Education Institutions” on April 30, 2025, aimed at fostering intellectual curiosity and social awareness among students and faculty about the rich heritage of Indian ancient knowledge.
The event began with an enlightening session by Prof. D.P. Tripathi, Dean, Department of “Vastu Shastra” from Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit Central University, New Delhi. His lecture, titled "Khagol Shastri and Vigyan," beautifully integrated ancient Indian astronomical wisdom with contemporary scientific understanding. Prof. D.P. Tripathi captivated the audience by illustrating the relevance of traditional knowledge in modern scientific context.
The second session was led by Dr. Vandana Tiwari, a distinguished faculty member from Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Her talk on "Gender Equality and Women Empowerment" was thoughtful and impactful. Dr. Tiwari emphasized the importance of inclusive policies and social reforms in the society.
The event was meticulously coordinated by the faculty and Sanjeevani Council Members of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, under the guidance of Prof. Divya Juyal, Director of IQAC and Dean, SPS.
The lecture series was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including Prof. J.P. Pachauri, Advisor to the President, Registrar Dr. Lokesh Gambhir, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dy. Director IQAC, along with Deans of various schools, faculty members, staff, and enthusiastic students.
Both sessions were not only promising and informative but also highly engaging, reflecting SGRR University's commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.
