The School of Education, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, organized a two-day inclusive education workshop in collaboration with the Latika Roy Foundation, focusing on understanding and addressing various dimensions of inclusion and behavioral management.
On Day 1 (8th October), sessions were conducted on Cyber Policy, ADHD – Inclusion and Exclusion, and Deficiency Syndrome and Autism. The experts from the Latika Roy Foundation elaborated on the challenges faced by differently-abled children, strategies for their effective inclusion in mainstream classrooms, and the importance of developing awareness about safe and responsible digital practices through proper cyber policies.
On Day 2 (9th October), the workshop focused on Behavioural Management and the Golden Rules of Behaviour. The session emphasized treating others with respect, empathy, and understanding — promoting the principle of “treat others as we expect to be treated.” The interactive discussions and practical demonstrations enabled participants to reflect on their own classroom practices and adopt more inclusive and compassionate approaches.
The workshop provided valuable insights into inclusive education, equipping future educators with practical tools and empathetic perspectives to create supportive learning environments for all learners.
