Colours Of Art, Culture Melodious Rhythms Of Sur Snageet Echoed At SGRRU

Dehradun. At the Cultural Week Programme of Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU), colours of Art, Culture and melodious rhythms of Sur Sangeet (Music) echoed. On Thursday, the programme of Sur Sandhya was organized to mark the occasion of Sur Sangram. The admirable presentations of students dominated the hearts of all. In the Cultural Week programme, various interesting competitions like mehndi, poster, debate, slogan, quiz, single & group songs and dance. The winner participants were honoured with Citation letters and prizes. The Chancellor of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj congratulated all the participants, students and organizing members over successfully organizing the Cultural Week and showered his divine blessings over them. 

On Thursday, at the auditorium of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, the final day of the Cultural Week was begun jointly by Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s Vice Chancellor Dr. Yashbir Dewan, Registrar Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri and Programme Chairperson Dr. Malvika Kandpal by lamp lighting. After that, Ganesh Vandana was sung by the female students of SGRRU.

The Group dance by Harshita Knadari & Group won the admiration of all. The audiences were spiritually entertained by watching the role playing of Raktbeej demon killed by Maa Bhawani. Esha Sharma of School of Humanities and Social Sciences, by means of Solo Dance highlighted the various different roles and responsibilities of the Female Life. Monu Rohilla by his Shiv Tandav Solo presentation made the atmosphere Shivmai (dominated by the spiritual bliss of Lord Shiva). Jitender of School of Computer Application and Information Technology gave remarkable melodious performance on Bollywood songs and made the young hearts beat faster. Aakriti & Group presented the various cultures of the country with Gujarati fusion and Tollywood songs. Lead roles were played by SGRRU’s Dr. Kumud Saklani, Chief Proctor Cum Spokesperson, Manoj Tiwari, Dr. Pooja Jain and Dr. Divya Juyal as the judges for the various competitions. 

In Solo competitions, School of Computer Application and Information Technology (C.A. and I.T.) dominated the results while in Group competitions, School of Humanities and Social Sciences emerged as victorious. Anshuman of School of C.A. and I.T. won the first position. The Second position was won by Pallavi of Nursing and Shradda Verma of School of Education won the Third position. In Group Songs competition, the winner was School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Over the occasion, Registrar, SGRRU, Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri congratulated the organizers for the remarkable organizing of the Cultural Week. The judges of the Songs competition were Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Dr. Priyanka Bnakoti, Dr. G. Ramalakhmi, Dr. Deepak Som, Dr. Khilendra Singh and Dr. Geeta Rawat. The Conveners of the Solo and Group Songs competitions were Dr. Anuja Rohilla, Esha Singh, Dr. Kamla Jakhmola and Amit Bhatt.

The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of President, Cultural Committee, Dr. Malviak Kandpal, Dean, Students Welfare, Prof. Kanchan Joshi, Member, Cultural Committee, Dr. Balbir Kaur, Dean, HODs, Faculty members, Staff and students of Shri Guru Ram Rai University.
