A defense study is one of the most respectable and sought - after option for youth to work for national security and military services of the nation. Candidates have a lot of options for UG / PG / Research to make their career in Defense Studies. Candidates can opt for UPSC level exam or pursue graduation in defense studies from CDS / SSB / NDA / NA opting at state level universities. There is also an option to enter technical level through SSC after completing B.Tech degree. Defense studies imparts knowledge and develop defense oriented competence and to spread the ideas of war and peace; creates a security consciousness to create public opinion in favor of the needs of national security.

Department of Defense and Strategic Studies at S.G.R.R University offers courses in BA & B.Sc. The subject gives students a deep insight into the world of defense studies, national security, international relations and military thinkers. Apart from the curriculum, we help to strengthen the linguistic abilities of the student through theoretical and practical lessons. They also provide a comprehensive study of Defense Studies and Communications. The subject of Defense Studies imparts knowledge of national security and international relations to the students by the center.

The subject provides the opportunity in various professions and careers such as writing, publishing, journalism, public relations content writing and creative writing.  The list is not limited.  It is considered as the only stepping stone to success in various fields till the above mentioned career, because proficiency in defense studies not only makes the student self-confident but also makes him stand out from the crowd.
