The ceremony, jointly organized by the university and the student union of Shri Guru Ram Rai PG College, felicitated nearly 350 toppers from more than 30 schools for their outstanding academic achievements. The students beamed with happiness and confidence after receiving the honour.
The programme was held on Saturday at the auditorium of the Patel Nagar campus of Shri Guru Ram Rai University. The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Chief Guest Kuldeep Butola, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) K. Pratapan, and Registrar Dr. Lokesh Gambhir.
Chief Guest Kuldeep Butola congratulated the students and said that choosing the right career and course after Class 12 is a very important stage in life. He advised students to make decisions by keeping in mind their abilities, interests, and future opportunities.
Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) K. Pratapan said that the present era is driven by skill-based education and that the university is offering courses aligned with current market demands and global opportunities. He encouraged students not to limit themselves to degrees alone, but to develop their talent, innovation, and practical knowledge to prepare for future challenges.
Registrar Dr. Lokesh Gambhir said that honouring meritorious students is not only a celebration of their achievements but also an effort to create a positive environment in society towards education and excellence. He added that hard work, discipline, and a continuous learning attitude are the real keys to success.
On the occasion, Yashwant Panwar, Kuldeep Pant, international rugby player Mehak Chauhan, and student union president Balbir Kunwar also delivered motivational messages to the students.
