Drug & Poison Information Centre

The Drug Information center (DIC) is an invaluable asset to SGRR University providing experiential training for student pharmacists and a service to health care professionals. We provide information regarding drug interactions, side effects and other drug inquiries to pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other allied health care professionals.

The DIC is an optional rotation site for students to complete an advanced pharmacy practice experience in drug information. They respond to inquiries from health care professionals regarding contemporary therapeutic regimens in humans.

Patient Counselling Centre

Drug information centre managed by the department of pharmacy practice at Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital with a goal to provide better health care services and promote rational use of drug. All information on drug usage, dosage regimen, adverse effects, interaction etc. is provided at the Patient Counseling Centre. The services are free of cost and a service being done to the community.

Vermi Compost Unit

Vermicomposting is Increasingly being adopted by businesses, institutions, farms and municipalities for managing organic waste. The unit is one of the leading choices of new start ups. Students are involved from maintaining the raw materials input to the final packed compost.

Vegetable Garden

Many entrepreneurs are taking benefit of the large demand in city markets to make quick profits by farming vegetables. Around 30 different varieties of vegetables are maintained by the students under guidance of respective mentors in the university's agriculture field. The harvested vegetables are marketed by the students to gain the exposure of agricultural corporate sector.

Mushroom Cultivation

A mushroom cultivation unit located inside the campus is maintained by the students. Students are regularly sent to various training centers for learning mushroom cultivation technique at National and State level to attain expertise & exposure.

Conversion of Barren Land to Cultivable Land

“Earn while you learn” is an approach adopted by the institute to give opportunity to students to develop entrepreneurial skills. Transforming 25 acres of barren land into a self sufficient farm is an inspiring feat of Agriculture Science students of SGRRITS. With the support of mechanized cleaning, the land was cleaned up, and then in phases work was taken up. Field plots of 90 × 15 sq mts were allotted to a group of 10-15 students each, who was to develop the areas to small organic farms. The soil being sandy, cultivation of pigeon pea and Ragi is planned in Phase.
